3D2N Ulu Cheka Aventure and Cultural Experience

Get ready for a thrilling 3-day cultural and natural adventure in Pahang's Jerantut! This concise trip plunges you deep into the rainforest, beginning with an exhilarating Day 1 featuring a traditional bamboo rafting experience on the clear Sungai Krau. Day 2 offers a unique cultural immersion with the indigenous Jahut community, where you'll explore their traditional padi huma (hill rice) cultivation and cool off at a jungle waterfall. Finally, on Day 3, your journey concludes with a fascinating morning of exploration inside the mythical Kota Gelanggi Caves before heading home, leaving you with memories of adrenaline, ancient culture, and spectacular natural beauty.

Tentative Itinerary


Day 1: Cultural Arts and Thrilling Rapids

Morning: Arrival & Cultural Greeting

Check in and arrange to meet a local guide.


Afternoon: Traditional Bamboo Rafting on Sungai Krau

Adventure Time: Head to Sungai Krau (Krau River). Arrange a traditional bamboo rafting experience, often guided by the Jahut community. River Immersion: Float down the river on a traditional rakit for a unique view of the jungle landscape.


Evening: Kampung Life & Forest Sounds

Traditional Dinner: Share a meal with your hosts or dine locally in Jerantut town.


Day 2: Jungle Wisdom and Nature's Refreshment

Morning: Immersion with the Jahut Community.

Padi Huma Visit: Visit the Jahut community's rice plantation to learn about their unique, sustainable cultivation of padi huma (hill rice).

Cultural Exchange: Observe or participate in a wood carving demonstration and learn about their deep Traditional Ecological Knowledge (TEK).


Afternoon: Waterfalls & Seasonal Delights

Waterfalls & Dip: Take a short jungle trek to a refreshing cascade like Lata Meraung or a swimming hole for a cooling dip and a picnic.

Durian Hunting (Seasonal!): If it's durian season, visit a local orchard to taste the area's fresh kampung durian.

Day 3: Caving & Departure

Morning: Ancient Caves

Visit Kota Gelanggi Caves: Spend the morning exploring this fascinating limestone cave complex near Jerantut. The caves are rich in unique rock formations and local folklore about a mythical lost city.

Exploration: You can explore the main chambers and tunnels before the heat of the day sets in.


Late Morning/Lunch: Local Meal

Grab a traditional Pahang meal (like Ikan Patin Masak Tempoyak) in Jerantut town.


Afternoon: Departure
